Terms of Service

By accessing or using My Finance AI (operated by Nick Langat at myfinance.cc), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

My Finance AI is a personal finance management tool that helps you parse M-Pesa and bank statements, categorize transactions using machine learning, track budgets, generate invoices, forecast spending, and get AI-powered insights. The service is available as a web application at myfinance.cc.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You must be at least 16 years old to use My Finance AI. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You retain ownership of all content you upload to My Finance AI (statements, transactions, invoices). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.

By uploading financial statements, you grant us permission to parse, store, and categorize the contained transaction data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

My Finance AI offers Starter ($5/month) and Pro ($10/month) plans. All new accounts include a 7-day free trial with full Pro access. No credit card is required to start a trial.

Payments are processed by Paddle (credit card, debit card, and PayPal). By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges. You may cancel at any time from your Settings page.

When you downgrade from Pro to Starter, Pro features become inaccessible but your data is fully preserved. Upgrading again restores access immediately.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the service
• Abuse the AI features by submitting harmful, illegal, or exploitative content
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use automated means to scrape or extract data from the service

My Finance AI uses OpenAI to provide AI-powered features including Ask AI chat, expense forecasting, and transaction analysis. Content sent to the AI provider is processed in accordance with their data usage policies and is not used for model training.

AI-generated insights are provided as suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing and acting on any AI-generated content. AI outputs do not constitute financial advice.

My Finance AI is a data organization and visualization tool. It is not a bank, financial institution, or licensed financial advisor. The service does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

Uploaded statements are stored securely on S3-compatible object storage (Contabo, Germany). Files are accessible via time-limited presigned URLs. Storage is unlimited on all paid plans.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with or without notice. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Finance AI and its operator Nick Langat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
